The process of change starts by understanding that actions and wellness behaviours stem from attitudes and beliefs. The only way to make lasting change is by gradually changing unproductive attitudes and beliefs into productive attitudes, beliefs and actions. These changes pave the way to healthier habits and long lasting wellness. Whether it is an in-depth relationship with your couch, too many visits to the frozen dinner aisle or the constant nagging of a pair of pants that has been too tight for too long, you can change it right now.
Imagine lying on the surface of a fast flowing river. Now, think about moving in the direction of the current. Notice how easy it is? You have to steer a little, but you move almost effortlessly with the motion of the river. Now imagine trying the same thing, but moving against the current. That’s much harder. In fact it can be so difficult that you give up.
Water is available from a tap, a lake and for some, a well. In order to get water from a well, one has to let down a bucket. One has to follow a process that includes cranking a bucket down into the depths of a well. Often invisible to the eye, the only way one knows that the bucket has hit water is through the sense of sound, or feeling. The bucket then must be cranked up before the water can be had.
The well serves as an analogy for the process of finding the path to wellness. It is deep inside and describes an ideal process to achieve wellness. Once the inner source of wellness is discovered, it is infinite.
12 weeks to wellness is not a step program, nor is it a diet or a system. It is as unique as the individual who participates in it. Our program is based on the knowledge that true wellness must be found inside. 12 weeks is a process of discovery of an individual’s wellness source. It is a process that helps people find their own sense of balance and process for long lasting change, whether it is increasing their quality of life, losing extra weight, accomplishing an athletic goal, quitting smoking or simply sustaining a path of personal growth.
The 12 Weeks approach helps you make positive lifestyle changes based on your own value system. That way change makes sense to you inside and out, which has a much better chance of sticking.
12 Weeks helps you succeed with your goals for change whether you want to loose weight, increase your activity levels, make a change in lifestyle or simply make a commitment to get to know yourself a little better. The 12 Weeks program teaches you to deal more effectively with your real-life issues from the inside out.
